Hello

My name is Tracey Visser

I am a wife, a mother of three kids (9, 7 & 1) and a lover of animals. I have had either a cat or a dog my whole life and could not wait to share my love for them with my kids.

I treat every animal that stays at my house like my own. Some may say they are spoiled but I look at it as they are going to the fun aunt’s house that likes to send them back home happy, missing you and maybe a little tired.

Right now I have one dog (Dodge), four cats (Rainbow, Little Fizz, Colby, and Belle) and a bearded dragon (Pascal). Our goal is to give you reassurance that your pet is being taken care of so you can enjoy and not worry about them while you are away.

So why not join the Visser’s Ark and let your pet sail away to a good time in our home!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you have a fenced in yard?
Yes, my whole yard side/back yard is fenced in. We let the dogs out of the back door and let them play. There is also a camera.

  • How many dogs do you board per night?
Including my own dog I board no more than 6 dogs total depending on their size.

  • How many dogs do you have at a time for daycare?
I try to keep daycare dogs to 4 including my own, unless I do not have any boarded dogs.

  • Do you walk dogs in your care?
No. Since I have a fenced in yard they run around like a dog park.

  • Do you give medicine?
    Yes, no additional cost.

  • Do you take puppies?
    Yes, extra charges may apply.

  • Do you have pet insurance?
Yes, through Pet Sitters Associates (look at bottom of page)

  • Do you take intact males?
    Yes, extra charges may apply.

  • How do you introduce dogs?
I like to have a meet and greet with my dog and your dog to see how they get along. Then on the day I put all dogs (including mine) behind a gate and slowly introduce them to one another.

  • What do you do if two dogs don't get along?
My house has two gates that separate three rooms. If I have to I will keep those dogs separate during the day, night and even outside.

  • Do you crate?
Only if you crate your dog. Dogs have pretty much full reign of the house besides the basement (that is for the cats).

  • Do you have crates?
Yes, so you do not have to bring your own!

  • What should we bring for our pet?
Food, medicine (if any is needed), slow feed bowl and leash. I ask no toys (especially if it is their favorite), dogs tend to get territorial with home items. I have plenty of bowls if they use regular ones and a big water bowl.

  • What do you do if your dog hasn't been around cats.
I can lock up my cats if they are known to chase/hunt small animals. If they just have never been around one, I have two cats that will come out and I watch them together and see how they do. If I see any aggression on either side I will just separate for safety reasons.
